Title: Number Keypads
Post by: thestickfigure on Fri, 22 July 2011, 05:08:39
Hello all. Recently picked up a tenkeyless Filco keyboard and loving it. Though there's instances where I miss the number keypad and especially the media hotkeys, mainly the volume button. Anyone of some number keypads that have volume switch/buttons integrated with them? Does not need to be mechanical.

Anyone? Did i post in the wrong section? If so move me. Well, I think one option for me is maybe the Logitech G13 and macro some of the keys to volume adjust? Suggestions?

I know they exist, kind of like this (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Cordless-Number-Pad-Notebooks/dp/B000RZTDZ6), it may not have the media functions you are looking for, but it's a start. I think you're just going to have to do some research (read: Googling) on this one.

There are some programmable keypads out there. I know the Cherry Keypad G84-4700 is one, but is ML switch. I would imagine there are MX or maybe Alps ones too, but I don't know model numbers to look for.
Here is one Genovation (http://cgi.ebay.com/Used-Genovation-MicroPad-623-21-Serial-ver1-1-w-warra-/110674567655?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item19c4b7e1e7) with MX for cheap if you can use serial.

Good god, I just took a look on eBay, and there are absolute BOATLOADS of mechanical keypads for $20 or much less. Mainly ALPS, some Cherries, lots of strange stuff.

I recently picked up an Adesso AKP-220B keypad with Cherry blue switches.
