Title: Any word on a Filco Majestouch Ninja with Blue Switches?
Post by: fusedpro on Sun, 24 July 2011, 21:24:57
I made this thread (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?20155-Any-word-on-a-Filco-Ninja-blue-switch-keyboard) over on the main keyboard forum and found that the keyboard does exist. I did send an email out to John (I believe... can't quite remember) asking if they ever planned on stocking it and selling it through Amazon, but I figured it can't hurt to post here.

Anyways, if the above didn't make it clear. Do you all over at The Keyboard Company ever plan on selling the Filco Majestouch-2 Ninja with the blue switches? Preferably through Amazon as I live in the US. Any information on the matter would be much appreciated and if not, any idea where I could look to purchase one of these keyboards?

Thanks!

Small update -- John kind of asked, but it was in kind of buried inside of a larger email so it could have been easily overlooked. He said he would get back to me today so I'll post here with any new information.

Alrighty, this is probably the final update from John.

I have some news for you but I suspect it may not be as welcome as you had hoped.

The production of Ninja Blue Switch, the FKBN104MC/EFB2 and the FKBN87MC/EFB2 will take place towards the end of September.

Allowing for shipping and Amazons booking in system, we hope to be to have product on sale on Amazon USA around the third week of October.

Not ideal, but I am sure the wait will be worth it.

I have seen your thread on Geek Hack, I would be grateful if you could update with the above to let the other guys know.

Kind Regards

John

There you have it. Good to know they'll carry them at some point.

Figures. We don't have any in Asia (Hong Kong) either so I'm not surprised production hasn't started... Or at least packaging.

What John Says above is correct.
It is late October for noisy Ninja I'm afraid.

If you're in UK you might want to hang on for Euro Ninja.

I prefer ANSI, If I ordered the ninja (brown), a set of blank 104's and 2x 1.25 flat keys would it be shipped royal mail or ukmail?
Also are the blank 1.25 flat keys you sell filco or homemade?

Hi fossala
You can chose UK Mail if you want but the 'free' carriage is always Royal Mail 2-3 day 'tracked' service.
Yes, the 1.25 keys are from Filco.

Really? any lead time on this? I've decided to go for the Filco Majestouch-2 TKL as my very first mechanical KB. So was wondering just that, wouldn't it be awesome if keyboardCo stocked the ninja Majestouch-2 TKL with UK layout...

Bump, it's about time I guess.
I've ordered 1 Ninja Brown 104 and 1 Ninja Black TKL from you recently on Amazon.
Please give some words about the availability of the Ninja Blue. At least a date we can hope for.
Thank you.

*bump*

If I could make a wish for christmas it would be a Ninja (Blue) in german layout, preferably TKL.
Does something like this exist or is it planned? Cause I'm already tempted to order a non-Ninja in german layout.

Cheers!
