Do any of you know if there are carrying cases/bags available for full-sized keyboards? I move my keyboards around pretty often because of work and LAN parties so it'd be nice to have a dedicated carrying case or something.. So far the only things I've been able to find are keyboard 'quivers' on amazon.

Like this (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:19430)?

The only thing that throws me off about the razer bag is the colour... if only it just all black or something x.x

Small art portfolio cases might be something to look at. I used to use one back when I lan'd a lot, but it was something I had anyway. The small/medium 18" sized are long enough for a keyboard with a little room height wise for extras like cables. Like these...

Well, this is incredibly dorky, but I almost picked up one of these at Marshall's. The color is hideous, but it was big enough to hold one of the keyboards they had in the store. No padding though. I thought it was just a weird gym bag.

Its apparent cheapness makes me think it's not a bad idea to use a kid's size backpack, albeit one that doesn't draw as much attention. This one is 10 X 18, so it will fit most full-size boards.

I managed to find one of those drawstring style backpacks at Olympia Sports that is the perfect length. It's made by Underarmor, and I have a ton of other stuff from them and it's always top notch quality.
Those types of bags are pretty common around my campus for books and gym stuff, so everybody at work thinks I'm some athletic nut when I walk in with my bag, when I'm really just a closet nerd with a fetish for tactility xD

These (http://www.thechessstore.com/product/BAG06BK/Large-Tournament-Chess-Bag---Black.html) probably work, although they might be a bit long. May fit a mouse along with some cables and other stuff.
Big plus: Cheaper because it's missing an expensive 30$ logo of a 'gaming gear' company.

That's actually not bad.. Looking at the dimensions of their small bag, I think it can fit exactly 1 full size Filco with a tight fit. Sent them an email to see if it's padded, and if it is I'll order one and post up a review on GH.

I'm in the same situation as you skyblue.
Send me a PM if you find something good will you? =)
The Chess bag looks promising, tell me how it works out if you get one!

I also considered buying this at one time, and seems like a pretty cool bag. I just ended up finding something else locally because I needed it on short notice. Otherwise, I'd probably have given this a try.

Figure I would keep it in here, if anyone has ideas for a smaller poker sized carrying case, doesn't have to be a full bag, but even a small soft bag just to put the keyboard in, when I put it into my book bag, similar to the oakley sunglasses bags that just have a pull string on the top to tighten the bag =) thanks.

I've never seen a Poker, so not really sure how large it is compared to the HHKB, but this thread by reaper (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?18278-MY-keyboard-toys) shows some pictures for a sleeve for a HHKB that seems to be what you are looking for.
Here is a link to the product itself (http://www.sfbags.com/products/keyboard-cases/keyboard-sleeve.php).

thanks brink that's pretty nice. A bit more than I would spend on one though. I'll check ebay for generic sleeve bags not truly meant for a keyboard haha
*edit* found some made for apple BT keyboard on ebay. some generic sleeve. cool cool I'll keep looking.

Sure, I'm still waiting for a reply from the chess company on whether the bag is padded. Might be worth getting even if it's not since keyboards aren't fragile.

keyboard quiver?
That's one of the first I found, I don't really like the look of it though.

Did anyone ever find a good solution? I found this. I especially love the faded display pics. Reminds me of the 80's but the bag is pretty cool.

Just sayin

I got this for $34 after shipping using the promo code. It may not be super pretty but it's not ugly and the quality is quite good.

Thanks for this. The promo code still works. Going to give it a try.

So I saw some small keyboard (as in 'music instrument') bags for like 15 EUR, but they appear really cheap and dont offer anything that the usual gaming bags dont; also appears to be very light fabric, nonsense.
I then, however, went on and found this:

It is made for smaller instruments (minikeyboards, violins etc) and appears to be of some better quality, it's padded inside and listed with backpack straps on it's back. It's sizes go as low as 48x24x10cm (for all you imperialists, that's 19x9,5x4 inches. The Celeritas I am typing on right now is 44x16cm). The price in the factory shop is 51,90EUR, but I have found it in an online shop for 39,90 (http://www.music-town.de/Tasteninstrumente/Tasten-Zubeh%C3%83%C2%B6r/Taschen-Koffer/SOUNDWEAR-25048-Effective::38403.html). Also, it says it's handmade in Germany, so it's probably going to last longer than anything from Razer/Nova/whatever ;]
Edit: There is an 'offer price' button, so if we get 10 curious people or so maybe we could push it down a bit

The Keyboard Quiver arrived yesterday. It doesn't have the most understated look, but it's better than the Razor stuff. It's soft, but fairly well-padded on the front and back and around the sides and has lots of extra pockets.

It's just long enough to fit a Model M and deep enough to stuff two of them in there if you wanted.

I am so very impressed by the quality of the quiver... i normally use a pair of astro a40's when i lan and i always had to carry the case separately, but the expandable headset pocket in the front fits the case like a glove. So impressed. the only problem i have is that it doesn't really hold my tenkeyless very well, but tenkeyless really aren't too common for lan events so i can let that slide. if you were on the fence, and the coupon still works, pick this bad boy up.
