The mute, volume up and volume down functions aren't working for me. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a certain setting that I have to toggle for them to work?
-
Can you tell us a little more about your set up?
What OS is this on?

Ladiesman,,, you got me curious since I dont think I ever tried any of these buttons on my poker.
The mute, vol up and vol down do work... but with a catch. The volume up and down when viewing the volume under windows sounds control panel show it lowering and increasing the sound.
But when in a program like you tube, windows media player, itunes , etc... the volume in those applications dont show it going up or down but since its being controlled by the main windows i do hear the volume is going up and down. not sure if that is correct behavior but that is how it is working for me.
Mute works whenever....I am using windows 7.
Is this the same behavior you are seeing?

Web, Mute, Vol-, and Vol+ send scan codes 172 - 175. Task sends a macro, Win+Shift+Esc, which is not the correct Task Manager shortcut for Windows btw, but does bring up the Task Manager for Google Chrome.
Oh, and Cal sends 183.

My task button correctly pulls up Task Manager on both my Pokers.

This is odd. I'm using my Poker at work right now on my laptop and the media keys work. Both my laptop and desktop uses win7. I think it's because I remapped the media keys before using SharpKeys, but I deleted those macros and when I restarted my desktop the media keys still did not work. I did not remap a mute button before and the mute function on the Poker does not work. Does anyone have any tips?
@ jpm804 yeah my Poker wasn't changing the volumes in the control panel and that's what my problem is
@ revenge my Poker is also correctly bringing up my task manager on my laptop

Would you guys mind pulling up Aquakeytest and checking the macro that your pokers are sending? Win+Shift+Esc definitely does not bring up TM on my computer.
OH! Nevermind, I know what's going on. I have Right Ctrl set as Right Win using autohotkey. :)

All my keys function correctly too, except the ` key while in esc lock which is a known issue. Maybe there are still registry entries for your hotkeys even though you told the program to delete them?
-
Do I have to perform a system restore to fix this? Is there any other way to restore the changes that it made to my registry?
-
Open regedit and search for "scancode map". Delete those reg keys and reboot. That should fix it.

My task button correctly pulls up Task Manager on both my Pokers.
I just purchased a KBC Poker with red's and it also correctly brings up the TM.

I know it might not be the OP's issue, but the newest version of iTunes doesn't work with any media keys, from any keyboard.

Apple broke media keys support again in 10.4. The 10.5beta is broken too. Apple thinks its more convenient to have to bring iTunes into focus and use the mouse. There is a little helper app called hktunes that enables media keys if you don't want to roll back to 10.3.
