I searched just yesterday for some of them (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?20319-Canon-s-answer-to-your-missing-tenkey./page2).

The latest links are BT numpads, and are nice because the calculator function is always handy

It's clicky! But note, the number keys do not auto-repeat. I sometimes use numpads for navigation / arrow keys, and the lack of autorepeat on the Takumi bothers me. Other than that, it's great!

I'm using Kinesis 21 key "Low-Force" Keypad (it's MX Brown), and it's quite nice.

Rubber domes. It's a Chicony judging by the KU-9880 designation. Those are okay to poor feel wise. Most of the Chicony keyboards I've used were very mediocre by rubber dome standards.

Too bad. It looks nice, and can be found for cheap... will keep looking.

Nice, really handy to have it (placed on the mouse right) coupled with a compact keyboard like a noppoo chock mini.

Is it plate or pcb mounted ?

Wow, nice find! Didn't know about the AKP-220
http://www.adesso.com/en/home/keyboards/mechanical-keyboard/307-akp-220.html

Does anyone here have it? I wonder if it has the automatic numlock activation/deactivation for laptops, and if it can be turned off.

I have the Goldtouch too, but mine unexpectedly came with black switch... I never saw any mention of it having blacks. But I can't complain since it was only $5 nib.

At first when I was reading that I was like damn that sucks, then I read you got it for $5 NIB lol

I'm deciding on a Filco or a Goldtouch but I can't decide, Goldtouch is nice since they come in white or black while the Filco only comes in black, they both have brown which I want to switch to blue/red

Yeah, I had no idea they ever even made it with blacks, and the box had no mention so I was expecting browns since that is what I always have seen it with. But it was cheap and from some going out of business sale (all sales final), so not much I could do about it anyway. I have recently been debating desoldering the 0 and 00 keys and making one 2 unit 0 since there is an unused 0 position for that on the pcb, but am not sure if it would still work right or not.

No, the tekgadget is PCB mounted. It's a really nice unit for the price. The extra keys (space, tab, bksp, etc) are actually pretty handy too.

A caution about Tekgadget for all Geekhack members. I paid for a KP-701 Professional Mechanical Keypad (USB,PS/2) (http://tekgadget.com/product_info.php?products_id=40) about 3 weeks ago. I never received it! I wrote to them at least 5 times to ask for the UPS tracking number or to give me a refund if that wasn't possible. They never replied my e-mails (I tried all their e-mail addresses I could find, including the one linked to their PayPal account.) I'm now working with PayPal to get my money back. It looks like their Amazon store front/webstore has closed. My experience with this company has been very disappointing. There were some features about this keypad that I liked - independent Num Lock, Cherry blues, large 0, programmable keys. But I wouldn't like to deal with a company with such poor customer service. I'm not even sure if it still exists.

I've since bought a Kinesis Low-Force Keypad (http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/keypads.htm), which should arrive next week. It has independent Num Lock, Cherry browns, large 0, and keys that I can use when working on spreadsheets.

On a side note, I didn't realize that German layout used an actual division symbol and not just the forward slash. I now need one, haha.

I just got a full refund, thanks to PayPal. Tekgadget didn't even respond to PayPal. My best guess is that the company has gone under. I wonder if they still have a stock of those keypads...
