It is real.  Made my Cherry (German) for the Korean market.  I cannot tell if this was a modification or how the board ships.  This is a silly thread.

Ok. Sorry, I'm still overreacting when I see a DS keyboard.

I'm gonna mail Cherry and blackmail them with the eyes of my daughter. They look like original Cherry DS. If they are new, they can't just ship them in front of my eyes to Korea.

So is it handmade? Why are the keycaps so small

What do you mean small?  Shallow perhaps... but only in open-air volume.  Seems they are made with a lot of plastic.

Made for Korea? No. It's a German layout. The Korean cognoscenti are Masters of Acquisition.

Recently? No. It has a 3 letter suffix, and is PC/XT/AT switchable, which means it's quite old.

Shallow? No. Looks normal for a Cherry-made keycap from the home row.

Do want? Yes. :-)

I suspected this at first but thought it could be fashioned to be like vintage only for the Koreans. There are many special editions Leica cameras only for the Japanese so I draw analogy. It seems I already got the usual keyboard inferiority complex towards the Koreans.

Probably a typing tutor keyboard, new old stock. Looks very similar to current typing tutor keyboards.

That keyboard in the OP post is mouth-watering. Why can't we have nice things?
