OP you could consider getting Logitech G1 (updated 1000dpi version). It is discontinued in NA or EU whatever, but they are still officially available in some parts of Asia. You can get it from PCHome, armygroup or ebay. It is one solid mouse with time tested reliability (older than MX518?). A lot of starcraft1/2 progamers use G1.

Its a great mouse. If you play fps games with very low sensitivity the Razer Goliathus Speed edition mousepad is recommended for perfect control. If you get the LoL edition you wont have jitter, since it has a jitterfree firmware.
If you use a hard mouse pad it won't even matter if you do purchase an Abyssus with a jittery sensor. That being said if you want a jitter-free sensor your best bet is to find a LoL Abyssus somewhere.
I would recommend you getting the Razer Deathadder. The Deathadder is a lot more comfortable than the Abyssus.
Not for me since I don't palm the mouse and the DA is big and too heavy.
The Kinzu has hardware acceleration built in. This is a problem for some people, especially FPS players who tend to like linear tracking.
Some people prefer it though. Seems like StarCraft players really like it.
So what do you think of your new Zowie?
The MX518 is 106 grams
the Deathadder is 133 grams

The Deathadder isn't heavy at all. I could see not wanting it because you don't palm the mouse, but not because of it's weight.

No, we do not like mouse acceleration.
got the abyssus since 2 days, and love it so far
using it on my hard pad since it jitters on most of cloth
From my experience over the Internets, there is no review or video that really does the Abyssus justice. The abyssus is a great little mouse and my personal favortie of all that i have used...
...This is a solid, reliable, no bull**** mouse as razer actually claims. The only improvements i would make to this mouse would be to add the low-gauge braided cable and to cover the entire mouse in the top face coating it provides. key notes would be: Light weight, semi-wide, semi-low profile, 3 button, optical sensor, zero acceleration, no required software (mac or pc) and no cursor prediction.
We actually HATE acceleration. As do the majority of graphic artists....
I bought my Abyssus based on this review and I must say a big thank you! I also bought my first mechanical keyboard at the same time but the improvement of this over my old mouse is way better than the improvement in the keyboard.
It looks like your mouse is not set to 1:1 ratio which is optimal for gaming as well as let you use more DPI especially on screens with more pixels.
Under mouse properties on Win7 you want to select your pointer speed to 6/11, This is very close to 1:1 ratio just by using the windows mouse settings.
Then, un check Enhance pointer precision. This is another name for mouse acceleration.
With my Abyssus mouse I use 6/11 no enhance pointer precision and 1800 DPI on a 1080p screen with 1000Hz polling.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/JSWg4.png)

Its so jagged! Is that my mouse mat? (Razer Goliathus)
Still very useful piece of advice, not seen it on these forums before.
Did you remember to change the pointer speed to 6/11?It was already at that setting.
Razer Abyssus is known to be jittery on clothpad. That's probably it, I didn't get a hard mouse mat because I hate my hands getting cold on the desk (my workspace is pretty chilly)
It works perfectly on my 9HD

I have the Razer Abyssus on a Razer Goliathus Control edition and haven't had any issues.Fancy giving us a quick circle in paint?
