Title: [Interest Check] 20x Italian G80-11908HRMIT doubleshots
Post by: BiNiaRiS on Fri, 05 August 2011, 23:04:29
For those of you that haven't seen these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260826054169#ht_1275wt_1396

These are brand new in the box doubleshot keys. I offered to be a proxy on this for a member on DT and have seen a few others express interest in these. I'm wondering how many others would be interested in these if I could get them for cheaper.

Shipping the entire keyboards is what makes this expensive. I would remove the keycaps and ship them in a few flat rate international boxes. I could also remove the stems/springs from the boards, but that is something we would have to discuss as that would be a large effort on my behalf. I'm thinking this as a base if we bought 20 sets:

$20 each * 20 = $400
$10 each shipping * 20 = $200 (very up in the air)
Shipping to Europe = $120
Total: $720
Total per set before EU to EU shipping = $36

If the EU to EU shipping is $4 or less, you'd be looking at a $40 total shipped price or 28 euros.

I'm not looking to make money off this...I don't even want a set of the keys (I hate you ISO format!). Maybe just something to justify my time put into this. Mainly looking to to help out, as I expect I will one day need someone's help in Europe.

Let me know if you'd be interested in any of these at this price. If we get enough interest and the seller goes for it, we'll deal with that then. If not, no worries.

Final Update is as follows

$34 per set shipped to your door via priority mail (6-10 days), anywhere in the world. I decided that it was probably better to ship them individually and not risk some of you getting double taxed. Also, by keeping them separate, maybe only a few of you will even get taxed in the first place.

I wanna get these ordered ASAP so payments are now being accepted.

I WILL combine shipping if you want multiples. For now, I will ask for the full price per set and refund you the difference of what it costs once I actually get them to to post office and get them shipped. Multiple sets will probably ship via first class.

My paypal is biniaris@gmail.com Payment should be via the gift option but READ THIS:

I think the best option here may be to PM me with your paypal email and how many sets you want and I will send you an invoice. I can then send you a paypal invoice and you can pay. This may help getting through customs since it will be an exact invoice for what you are purchasing. If you want to go by this option the price will increase to $35.69

The main draw here is the doubleshot caps at least.

But from what I have seen, POS boards are the ones that fail the model check most often

I just confirmed a final price with the seller for these $250 shipped for 10 of these. So here is the updated price plan:

$250 initial price
$60 shipping to EU
Total: $310 / 10 = $31 each shipped to EU

Grond volunteered to do the shipping once they get to Europe. I can't image it will be too much more on top of that unless you get hit with taxes. I will print up an invoice for maybe $150 since I am only shipping the caps and maybe some switches.

I am stiil unsure of the types of switches in these. Since it is a decent amount of time to pull all of them off, I'd feel comfortable asking for $5 per board if you'd like me to pull all the stems/springs off an package those up in something secure. I would like to start collecting payments soon so that when we hit 10 people I can immediately pay the seller and we can get this rolling.

Cos they don't believe the declared value is accurate. European customs officers = a smart bunch, by and large.

Haha, they aren't smart enough to know that they aren't actually worth that much.

xbb, did you have a receipt in the box? and you also had the entire keyboard shipped. I would assume we'd be in a little better shape if we are just shipping parts.

A receipt declaring the value. Entire keyboard in the original box yes.

That is still some bull****.
Do you know what the tax rate on imports like that is supposed to be?

That's clearly a mistake

The import fees are 3.75% + 20% VAT + a fixed 11€ asked by the Italian mail service to manage the payment. Nothing is due when the value is below 40€

So looks they read 135 rather than 35

I suspect they do this kind of "mistakes" in order to discourage the receiver to pay, so they can keep the stuff for themselves!

Bah... the last keyboard i received from the US (sent by BiNiaRiS) was declared 40$ and I paid nothing.

The previous one was from ebay, the seller was unclear on the receipt, but in the the custom officer managed to find the auction on ebay, and contacted me by phone to have the confirm.

The xarmor bought from ergogeek came with the receipt and was correctly billed,

I think the correct way is contact the custom and ask for a refund.

so a little update. i will be in Italy the last 2 weeks in September so I might end up just boxing these up and bringing them with me. I need to look into how much I will be taxed though. I assume it'd be easier and cheaper than shipping them since I could just meet up with Grond or maybe someone else since I will be all over Italy.

Hi there,

I'm looking for a WoB DS keyset. I'm from Portugal and the closest layout is the italian one.

Would any of you who bought this keyboard be interested in selling the keyset by any chance ?!

Thanks in advance!
