Hi,
I have a Kinesis Advantage USB which works fine except one thing: When I boot up, my UEFI/BIOS says "No keyboard detected". It does however detect an extra USB hub. Now, I don't mind the error message and beep, but I can't enter setup either. It only starts working when I get to my OS login screen.
Is this normal and can anything be done about it?

Did you check if you have "USB Keyboard Support" (or a similar option) enabled in your BIOS? Of course you'd need a PS/2 keyboard to enter the Setup... or maybe a different USB keyboard would work, too.

I had problems with the BIOS detecting only some USB keyboards and not others.
It turned out that I had some kind of "fast boot" enabled. I disabled that and it has worked fine since.

I've never had a keyboard not be detected by the BIOS of any computer, so I was a little surprised.
It's an Asus P8H67-M Evo motherboard that doesn't detect it. My Asus A6 laptop and my Asus 1005P netbook detect it at boot as they should.
There seems to be no settings for USB Keyboard Support or Quick Boot or something like that. USB Legacy support (or something to that effect) is enabled, though.
