I know it isn't mechanical but for this price? You can use it as a backup board, take it out when kids, friends and family are around and you don't want them to use your $300 Realforce. lol
So I guess it pays to check out your local retailer's clearance section of just to keep an eye out for any clearance items (I got this one from Staples):

Yeah and the funny thing was, they asked me if I was over 18. Apparently kids have been getting high using these canned air and they have to check ID to make sure you're over 18 to buy one! Well, here in California anyway... kids these days. lol

Hey look, it's tenkeyless in the way that I suggested. I guess that does exist. This actually might be useful for HTPC stuff. No need for a huge board there (and the wireless ones I'm using for that now are full size).
