The Poker keyboards will come with black ABS keys (with white lettering).
Actual shipping costs will be billed to you (from Columbus, WI) after the item is received by me and shipped to you. (I would prefer to use USPS Priority Mail)

First of all, I want to say hi to my fellow geekhackers.
I've been busy studying and spending money on school and my I finally have some money for keyboards!
I just made a purchase for a Noppoo Choc Mini red on ebay. (Should I have done that?)
This is very interesting and I might want to grab a KBC Poker Red as well but I hope the Choc Mini will arrive for me to test before I make my decision.

I bought a Poker with MX Reds during the first group buy. I like them, but they are a little too easy to bottom out on. When I don't bottom out; it is as they say like a "cloud of boobs", but bottoming out takes that and throws it under a truck.

Every Poker X I have been in receipt of has had a red PCB.

They SHOULD have stock now, so I would say a couple weeks after we order. Unfortunately, I am in no position to speak authoritatively on their existing stock (and have not gotten that specific info).
The only thing I can guarantee is that you will either received your items or a refund. That I am absolutely sure of. :)

Yay so glad to see this group buy up! Guess I have to get my reds now try them out on a Poker before I spend the big bucks for a TKL Filco or something. Blank keys offered too for 104.. makes me want to get some white blanks for my Das Keyboard. Bah every new forum I find these days gives me a new addiction that I cant afford lol.
Now the hard part is keys! I wish we had pics of the PBT White Engraved but I love blank keys so much :(

As far as I can tell, the legends won't be engraved for the FN commands...just the main legend on the top of the keys.
iMav can you confirm one way or the other?

The poker engraved keys DO have the Fn layer engraved on the front.

Koeitje, you'll be better off ordering from this thread on deskthority (http://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1095). You won't have to pay the import fees as it ships from Germany. (Plus they have the distribution rights in Europe.)

iMav, they don't happen to have white engraved keycaps with, say, a black or gold infill for the legends, do they?
Those legends would probably unreadable in moderate and especially low light conditions.

no, it's only 40%, meaning its pretty much the numbers/symbols/letters section of a keyboard. I think you can use commands for some of the missing keys though
EDIT: i meant no as in no its not a full keyboard, but can definitely be used as a main

Can I cancel my order for the white engraved keycaps? Unfortunately my one week old Poker is broken. I think the piece where the plug goes in bent during travel and now the connection doesn't work. I'm really bummed and now no need for the extra keycaps. I paid by PayPal.

Are there really no other upgraded keycap options (with legends) for this board, other than engraved keycaps? I could REALLY use a set with an infill so I can read the legends in low light conditions.

I was going to wait until December 1st to post the same thing. It's been roughly 2 months now...I would really appreciate a bit of communication with the vendor on lead time. Having no clue when a large order like this is going to be filled and keeping everyone in the dark for months isnt really fair or acceptable.
I don't have a problem waiting for a product....but I'm tired of waiting with zero updates or even an initial lead time.

I knew it was not going to be fast, but its been what seems like very long at this point. It maybe normal but just wanted to ask as I am sure all the others that already paid are curious as well as to the actual status of the group buy.

According to this (quote below) post before the group buy payments were due, it "should" have only taken a couple weeks from the time the order was placed. Obviously, this didn't happen, but iMav made it clear that he wasn't sure that they would be in stock so this was not a guarantee. Now that we are at the "couple of months" stage, however, it seems like it is taking a lot longer than what was expected.
Again, the wait doesn't bother me. I paid my money and as long as I get my keyboard and keycaps in the not too distant future, I will be happy. It's not like I don't have any other keyboards to use in the mean time. What has started to bother me (as you can probably infer from my post last week) is that there is no lead time on the parts. If we were told, "It's going to be at least another 2 months," it wouldn't make me happy, but atleast I would have an idea of the status of the order.
So my question is....is there any chance of getting a potential lead time or an update in general from the supplier....or are we just going to continue to operate under the "you'll get it when you get it" mindset?

Do any of you know if the cherry blue poker is all blue switches - or does it have a black/green switch under the spacebar?
I think the stiff space bar is a Cherry thing. I've never heard of any other manufacturers doing it.

argghh thanks reaper. Missed that one too, but that's ok. I actually can't afford anything right now anyway, just changed jobs and the new one pays monthly (wtf?) so I'm broke, and then moving in February. I don't know why I'm even in the marketplace right now.

If you choose a shipping method that provides tracking, you will get a tracking number. (USPS Priority flat rate box is my preference).

I used my Poker for coding and enjoyed it thoroughly once I got used to it (which didn't take long).

US Customs is being extremely combative and difficult. Honestly, I'm not sure how this is going to turn out. I would say delivery is in question and the RACE order is up in the air because of the difficulties with this order.

lol maybe if he goes to Chicago some time soon. he mostly works with customs at ports for cargo ships, as i'm pretty sure that's what the company handles. Not 100% though. I'll definitely have to talk to him later.

I hate to be pessimistic, but what's the worst that can happen? It's only a matter of time after they check it and customs has to release your packages, right? I mean it's not anything illegal, so I don't see what the big deal of the holdup is.

It should be fine, FCC need a paper, it won't be problem because it is safe product. Question may come to duty but keyboard is duty free. It might just some paper work.

It's all paperwork-related. I BELIEVE I have everything else they want and will be faxing it to them Friday afternoon (once I get home from a work trip to St Paul).
The good news is, assuming this wraps things up, I can prepare properly for the RACE shipment.

For those that received broken keycaps, were these the key caps that were not on the Poker and how were they packaged?
I'm only asking because I purchased a set of PBT's from iMav and I thought they were coming shipped in a box which generally should reduce the chance of broken keys.

I cant feel any quality difference between the stock keycaps and the pbt that is supposed to be a lot better.
All I can say is I love the red switches, even though they are not supposed to be ideal for typing I type better on these than the browns and maybe even the blues. Also the poker bottoms out so nicely I almost dont even want/need to do the oring mod. Spacebar, backspace, etc the larger keys that annoy the hell out of me on my other keyboards are so tame on the poker.

The PBT keycaps have a different texture, at least to me. As for switches, I really like linear switches for typing, both reds and blacks. I like the stiffer o-rings so that I still get some of the bottom out feel. I tried 40A o-rings and didn't like them on reds but the 50A I do. I have a set of 70A on the way to try next.
BTW, if anyone has a set of the black engraved Poker PBT's they're willing to part with I would like a set!

I do have to say that I like my Poker with Blues better than the one I have with Reds.
Also, how are people finding their thin PBT kaps? My white spacebar (104 set - came in a box) is very badly warped and my blacks (Poker set) didn't come with one so looks like I'm using the stock abs spacebar.

Thanks iMavm just got my set of engraved Poker keycaps today. Just a small question, they don't have any of the side labels filled in with white ink anymore? And my Caps Lock key doesn't have a transparent window for the LED to shine through.
