Title: Best Place to Buy Kinesis Ergonomic Keyboard
Post by: liist on Wed, 17 August 2011, 00:02:01
Hello, I am about ready to pull the trigger on buying a Kinesis Advantage, but I just want to know a few things before I buy. What are the switches? And since my office has just a bunch of old computers, would it be plug-and-play on an XP system made in the mid-2000s?

I think it's about time. Too many hours transcribing has taken a toll on my wrists.

What's the best place to buy it from? Not having Amazon Prime on Kinesis means I'll shop anywhere

Cherry brown switches
Plug and play with windows xp
Input Nirvana ships everywhere :)  or if you're a traditionalist, go directly to Kinesis :)

There's a model with red switches too, but only available at Kinesis directly, for $325. See my sig. For a regular Kinesis with browns, I go to fentek-ind.com (http://www.fentek-ind.com/ergo.htm#Kinesis%20Advantage), they charge $269, give you free shipping, and provide 60-day satisfaction guarantee.

But the model with reds is out of this world, IT'S SO WORTH IT! (typing on it right now)
