Title: Strange keyboard behaviour
Post by: vils on Wed, 17 August 2011, 06:22:59
My SMK-85 is having some strange malfunctioning. It is connected to the computers usb port via a "spacecraft" converter and from time to time it stops from responding. Restarting the computer have not helped. I have had to turn of the machine and turn it on again, then everything have worked flawlessly. Now it has happened again but despite several attempts to turn off and turn on the computer the keyboard is still partially dead. The NumL led flickers on upstart and is permanentlly lit when the computer is on. What could this be? Have the converter broken down or , heaven forbid, is there some problem with the keyborad?

Sounds like it could be the converter. I would try it with out and see what happens.

My mobo doesnt have a ps2 port so that could be a problem. I ll try to find another converter, same model though, I have lying around.

You could always try another computer that has a ps2 port.

Vils - I thought you won some #1 Danish Geek award and you don't have a Blue Cube! I'm SHOCKED!
For the moment I dont have any working computers with a ps2 port and my smk85 is, as can be seen on the pic Ripster posted, a bit cumbersome to bring along somewhere else.
