What layout do you prefer? Where are you located?
I have a few boards that might be interesting to you, but im in Germany and all have ISO DE layout.
-
Also, ISO DE? How different is that from US ANSI?
LOL
if you love some german characters then iso de is fine for you, but for an american i don't think the umlot and the esset will be useful(äöüß )...
Or are you the men in the high castle?
as an american an US ansi is the way to go .

I have a space saver G81 board that I stole the doubleshots off of... but I can put some more worn ones back on it to sell it to you. PM me if interested, but I have to warn you, compared to a G80, it's an awful board to actually type on.

I might be looking for one too. I'm also in Chicago, IL.
My sis' birthday is coming up and she just starting working as a database programmer. I asked her what keyboard they gave her and she said it was just some cheap old dell membrane. looking to spend around $70 to $80 mechanical to give to her. Preferably MX brown but blue is okay too though i worry the noise might annoy her office mates.

I have a Leopold 87 key with blank keys and brown switches if you are interested. Since you are local I'd let it go for $80. Incl original box, plastic tray (cover), and warranty sheet (elite keyboards.) I'm getting too many keyboards in and the wife is not happy.
lol pm'ed

No thanks; too bad too because you are a good seller :(
This isn't for a switch test; my coworkers can't handle the sound of buckling springs so this would be a good compromise.
Hah. You know how I got that exact board? I brought in my Model M because the domes weren't doing it for me (and in my position, I get a laptop, so they weren't even new domes, but old crappy domes off of a board that I'd appropriated from the server room because I don't like sitting at a desk typing on a board other than a standard layout board.) One day a coworker appeared with said G81 board that he'd salvaged from a job site where it was sitting there NIB never installed (I guess someone else had keyboard preferences as well.) Apparently the M was too loud :)
In homage to the nice gesture though, that set of doubleshots lives on on the Filco that is right now sitting on my desk at work. (converted it to clears over the weekend and took it in today. Happy fingers.)
