Doesn't really means a lot w/o any knowledge about the quality... of the owner.

That escape key is on the corner...so the board "could" have been dropped on the floor. Otherwise, it should not break.

Indeed just use a screwdriver forcing on one side only and you can break anything

Good point. Please do not use the following to pull your keycaps:

Pulling keycaps with a chisel never works out well.

It works perfectly to remove the keycap, the hard part is resitting it

Ya I guess they do come off nice and quick and easy with a chisel, just as long as you don't want to ever put it back on :)

To provide some context as to how this happened,

The owner discovered some chattering with his keyboard and returned in for an exchange.
Damage occured during the transit. While the delivery people may handle stuff in a rough way, if the stem was well built enough, I don't think a stem could break so easily. Unless someone wants to prove me wrong by showing a Cherry switch  with a broken stem

I stand corrected.
So the picture is not a fair representation of the quality of the Rapoo stems?

The picture shows a broken stem, unless some decent testing is done this means nothing.

Then to reply to your question, no, definitely.

I haven't touched a rappoo, but I don't mind to judge them because a photo, posted by a random user.

Wow, I realize that this is not necessarily indicative of quality of the brand, but it DOES make you wonder how well the clones will hold up, whether fair or not.

Say What? Your Cherry MX slider broke off into a cap as in the picture?

Just got one of these off DinoDirect. Haven't used the vendor before, but from browsing review sites, they seem middle of the road and atleast respond when somebody gives them a negative review. Besides, at $56 +free shipping  +$10 off coupon (which I used to upgrade the shipping) it was too good to pass up.

Dino2011   gives $10 off $50.

Oh, and let's not forget the "Exquisite Traditional Festal Nylon Yarn Chinese Knots- Free Gift attached with each order"
