Title: Espresso Equipment Firesale!
Post by: nowsharing on Sat, 27 August 2011, 14:58:41
I'm moving and have decided to sell some espresso gear:

Faema Compact C85 Commercial Espresso Machine $550: http://www.soulshadow.com/faema/
local pickup or I could drop it off anywhere en route from Bloomington IL to Madison, WI.

70's La Pavoni Europiccola Lever Espresso Machine $400: http://www.soulshadow.com/pavoni1970/
+ shipping
(http://www.soulshadow.com/ebay/pavonit.jpg)

GONE: Gaggia Carezza Silver Espresso Machine $100 shipped: http://www.soulshadow.com/gaggia/
(http://www.soulshadow.com/ebay/gaggiat.jpg)

This stuff will be going to fleabay eventually, but I wanted to try it the old fashioned way first to save some fees. I have another Europiccola on ebay now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320746213333), but it is more of a collector's item because of the condition. These machines are for people wanting to use them.

If the classifieds are only for keyboard gear, forgive me. If so, I'll close the thread. I know there are at least a few coffee people here (Ripster, I'm looking at you), so I wanted to give the GH classifieds a shot.

Well, I drink coffee, but the furthest I go is to use a coffee maker in general as opposed to instant coffee. GLWS

Coffee is coder fuel and access to good coffee is essential. I tend to place my coffee cup on my Kinesis keyboard, right in the middle above the indicator lights. No other keyboard lets me (get away with) doing that.

That's a beautiful machine Ripster. I say go for it :) I like the grinder too. I left my modified (doserless) Super Jolly in Brazil and just sold my two extra Astoria Super Jollies through the Coffeegeek classifieds. I'm keeping an Anfim Super Best for myself and hoping that it can compare.

I'll probably have an Gino Rossi RR45 and a Faema MPN grinder for sale within the next few days. I like to clean things up before selling them, and those two have some work left.

Haha, send a note to Kinesis, future models should come with integrated cup holder!

Please post a pic of your keyboard + a full coffee cup on it!

Are you interested in any trades?  I have a used das with cherry blues and a NIB filco tenkeyless with browns.

I'm pretty sure a terminal F would let you get away with that... just saying...

If you rely on coffee for energy, you're unfit. Simple as that. Go outside and exercise.

I'd love to make coffee with that 60's europiccola just to spite people who collect things and never use them (then promptly dump it out as coffee tastes like rubbish).

A thin piece of neoprene and that could actually be pretty safe, depending on the bottom of the cup. Funny. Beats the hardhat with the 2 beer cans and a small hose. :)

Funny, just yesterday at the roasters I was eying this La Marzocco GS3.  I remember when it was only $5K before the exchange rate tanked.   202 deg F was their magic number.

It's funny to see how pointlessly expensive products like this are made in Italy but obviously almost completely unknown here.

Ripster buy that machine !

Helping the Japanese economy with Filcos and Topres, but not the Italian one with that La Marzocco is a form of racism...:wof:

Can I trade keyboards for any of those? Damn.

Docs say I should cut down on the coffee. Told them they might as well have proposed euthanasia. Pfft.
