Title: Bent/ Curved Omnikey 102 Backplate
Post by: flashstar on Sun, 28 August 2011, 02:02:25
I got my sweet Omnikey 102 cleaned and reassembled for use, however I noticed that the metal back plate is actually curved in the middle. The curve is so bad that I can actually see that the keys in the center of the keyboard are depressed lower than the ones on the outer edges. My other Omnikey Ultra has the same issue so I can only conclude that this is a defect in the design of these keyboards.

I was thinking that I could put a piece of rubber underneath the center of the pcb, however I do not want to put too much pressure on one part of the pcb. What do people here recommend for an easy fix?

Thanks
