Saw the post and thought Poker for 75% off. Nice KB btw
-
Poker with F keys? Anyway, I like the backlit part.
-
Nice indeed. I don't really care much for LED's though, never saw the point of it.
-
The Noppoo Choc killah.
But that one is coming out in white PBT
-
I like... but hopefully there are other color backlit options, not a fan of the green.
-
Awesome green backlighting.
Gd, why the hell can't other KB manufacturers offer green? Why can't they figure this out...
...so want my Xarmor to be changed from blue to green
-
When can I buy this :D
-
Looks good but the shorten LShift might be a problem...
-
me likey

I quiet like it but there is something about the layout I don't really like. Can't put my finger on it though?!

I saw more pics over at deskthority and have lost interest int his keyboard all together. The odd size ESC key and arrow keys would mean I can't swap out the key caps for cherry corps ones. +1 for noppoo choco mini :)
-
I like it. Probably would like it more without the function key row (but with the arrow keys added). I'm fine with the embedded function keys of the Poker. The photos are so bad though, not a single photo on the source webpage shows the entire keyboard! Anyway, would be nice to see it and the chock mini side by side for comparison.

Cherry did make a double-shot Esc key of that size (I have one) but I think that it is very rare. Getting the colours matched is another matter.

I like it. Green looks awful.
-
Almost win. The arrow key / shift sizing is a bit disagreeable, I would like to see single sized arrow keys with a larger right shift and control.
-
If the price is right, and the switches are fun ones, I would consider getting this. I love green, sue me, so that much works for me. It could be a fun first experience with a TKL. But I'd have to be able to get it for <$80. I'm cheap, and it's a little weirdly oriented.

As already stated by others, I don't like the non-standard shape of the arrow and ESC keys - bad design decision! It looks like the FN and DEL keys have the same problem, although the only pic you see of them is in a dark room with the backlight on. They should have just about straight ripped the choc mini design, as it definitely makes better use of space. This is the major reason I almost certainly wouldn't buy this keyboard. I don't like the location of the FN key either, although that's not as big of a deal; IMO, it should be between the spacebar and the arrow keys.
I also wish it carried over some of the second layer of the Poker, such as the FN arrow keys on WASD. I also don't care very much for the green back light, blue would be better. However, the backlighting does need to be colored if they are going to offer white keycaps for it.
However, at least it's another choc mini sized keyboard, as I think we need more of those.
-
The size of those keys doesn't bother me from a touch typing perspective, it's the ability to put on other keycaps, and that, imo, the Choc Mini makes better use of space (the Choc has a few more keys in what is probably the same footprint).
More options = better, but to me, this doesn't really represent an improvement over the choc mini, which is what I'm looking for.

Like, me too.

Normally I'd agree, but the special wasd lighting does help at times when during gaming.
-
God damnit...
if it's PCB mounted, I'm getting one in blacks, for sure.
-
Looks very nice !
-
nice but it's not a real compact keyboard.
just as messy layout as the Noppoo with a bling bling touch of the best taste ^^
-
Hm, a backlit Choc Mini essentially. Seems good for those that held out. Backlight or plate-mount, decisions!

Yeah, it would be better if they only added the arrow keys on the side, without adding the function key row on the top.
-
Hmm, not a huge fan of back lighting personally. I think I'll stick with my Poker.
-
Visually appealing, but i have to side with those also don't see the point in back lit keys. If you're a keyboard enthusiast shouldn't you know the keyboard well enough to not have to look down? And wouldn't those LED's just be a distraction? I guess it depends on direction and LED brightness.
-
It's not always a functional thing. Some like the aesthetics of having a backlit keyboard. Also there are some situations where you may find yourself pecking at certain keys in the dark, usually when you aren't typing. As for the brightness, there really should be a switch to dial it down but that affects the cost.

I agree, that would be ideal.
-
I really like the look of this board, the backlighting for me is a plus. I was hoping that they would allow the arrow keys with Function key over WASD like they did with the Poker though.
This would be a great alternative to a Choc Mini as this board is PCB instead of Plate. The only thing i'm not a fan of is the shrunken Shift on the right side.

is there any info about the releasedate?
