The most ridiculous price for the hhkb type s. Thought I was seeing things
-
I'm on the mailing list but didn't get an email. Wtf.

Same here.
-
I don't think the email is instantaneous
-
IIRC there's less than 1000 people on the list. And I'm in the same country as the OP and the email sender, so it should have been pretty instantaneous.
-
Maybe he took you off because you were complaining about how he does things
-
Lol - I'm not blacklisted. I can still buy there!
-
it seems their site is down....
-
nvm,it's back. Will grab a blue mx. THanks for the info
-
Pricey HHKB type S, well at least its a cheaper option then Geekstuff4u
-
I still don't see a white Leopold tenkeyless anywhere on EK. =(
-
Its werid I got the the email from EK, but it had a title but no content.

I like how the product code says 0WNS. It definitely 0WNS your wallet.
-
^ LOL that's hilarious
-
Wow...even I'd get shy at that price. My god. Helps that I don't particularly like HHKBs nor do I think they're loud.
-
Well, ****...
-
^ cant you return it to Geekstuff4u? I'm sure you can, regardless of shipping its still going to be cheaper ;x
-
And yet, it's still only a quarter of the price of an Optimus Maxiums.
-
If the leopolds were $10-$20 cheaper, I'd probably pick one up with Browns. Does EK do sales very often? At the current price I could get a WASD for less, so I'm just planning for the future.

They do not. Also Leopold's have Cherry-style stabilizers. Grab a WASD.

But not a big deal the info was posted to GK long time ago.
-
EK has sales sporadically. In fact their prices go down AND up sporadically.
-
What is so [much more] special about the Type S HHKB2 that justifies a $190 premium? A shiny gold-plated "S" bling on the grill?
-
Just answered my own question, "w/Silencing".
that oughta be one friggin' quiet keyboard.
-
It's very quiet and pingfree (probably).
Now in the OLD Geekhack nobody would have given a rat's ass about this....
Anyone ponying up $190 for that delta? I wish someone would, then pull some keys and show what $190 in (speculation) foam rubber looks like.

ROFL! I am saving this video as an example of how the users at our company treat their hardware based on the failure rates we see.
Would also be good for an OSHA training on how to prevent RSI.

Supposedly still processing. I sent them an e-mail. Regardless of whether or not they let me cancel, I'm still about to order the blank one from elitekeyboards...
I might be a sick person...

^With 4 HHKB Pro2 and 3 HHKB Lite2 and still looking for more haha someone is addicted to the layout, for your sake I hope they dont release the HHKB3 anytime soon lol
How long ago did you order it from Geekstuff4u? I was looking to getting a HHKB wrist rest as if i go thru a agent its a little cheaper but I have no idea what to do so might as well go with them, but have idea how good their service is.
-
I remember the last time I read an EK newsletter. (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?11294-Elitekeyboards-latest-offer-everyone-s-email-address)

Almost two weeks ago. They responded and said they were about to ship next business day. I don't really care that I overpaid on the first one. I cannot predict the future like ripster does and expect EK to have them. Just glad it's finally about to ship after two weeks. Still grabbed the blank one from EK...

The difference shown in that video of the HHKB Pro 2 and the HHKB Pro 2 Type S isn't that much different. The video shows a dramatic difference because the guy was pounding on the keys. Who pounds their keyboards when they type? Also, isn't that what people look for? The auditory feedback from the keyboard? What makes the R&D @ PFU think that it's necessary to reduce the sound that the keyboard is making when Cherry didn't even have the idea to do the same for their Cherry Blues? I think the premium for the Type S over the Pro 2 is BS.
