I have 5 IBM SSK keyboards for parts. Make me an offer on the whole lot. If you like to tinker with keyboards and anything to do with computers like I do, you will thoroughly enjoy these pieces of history.
All of these have different problems from making the computer beep, (probably from a stuck key), to a few keys not working.
I don't have all the keys as you can see. I have them laid out so you can see which ones are missing.
Two space bars are in great shape and the rest are not so good shape.
Includes: All five boards with All five front and back plastics. One has a crack in it. All but one are missing the IBM logo stickers;4 PS/2 Cables; Many extra springs.
If you notice the one picture I took of the inside of one of the back plastics you will notice that the tiny little nipples that hold the board in place are broken off. That's gotta be a first.
If I find more parts I will throw them in too. I will definitely try and find more keys. It seems I'm mostly missing the "Ctrl" keys.
I have many full sized IBM Clicky Keyboards that have the numerical keypad on the right.
I've uploaded all the pictures to Photobucket.com. Here is the link:

Hi,
As per my thread here http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?21988-Model-M-1391401-spare-parts-keycaps-springs
I'm after some parts for my model M.
I've already got one offer for keycaps, but in case I need any extra spares would you consider selling me some?
Thanks

Actually, I have picked up a few full size Model Ms that had those pieces broken off. It's weird, but it does happen sometimes, it would seem. I had one that was cracked, but connected by a thin sliver of plastic, even.

Wow that is quite something.

I still can't figure out WHY it happens though. It seems to me those shouldn't be damaged without some external visible damage, but it's always a surprise when it happens.
