after all this ****ty experiences with deck and filco i got this nice Cherry G80-3000LAMDE/5 MX3000M from "kleinanzeigen.ebay" for 15€ (shipping incl.) :D
my first OWN mechanical board for the time until i can buy a K90 or K60 if they really release it in october THIS year in germany or feel the need to get a filco.
it was really really really dirty and took me hours and a lot of hardcore cleaners to get rid of the yellow/brown disgusting look but after all this time i appreciate it even more!
the blacks feel fantastic and i dont want to miss the sound of the key bottoming out... the grey space-switches were a little hard to press on the beginning because of my... 8/9fingerish style of typing were i dont always use my thumbs to press space but i get used to it...

crappy pic but i'll get better ones tomorrow!
PS: i will get some more boards with blacks in the next week but i really need blue springs for my ghetto-reds... anybody here who could offer me10 5x mx blue springs/stems or only the springs and shipping to germany?
*moan* omg it feels so good....

Did you colored (and led modded ?) it or is this an other cherry keyboard ? If so hand over your keyboard coloring instructions :hat:

same keyboard :)
i had to take the board apart for cleaning when i bought it so i came closer to its parts and everything looked solid enough to add some blue leds without special soldering skills... don't even have desoldering pumps or stuff like that :) and even if you mess up the PCB is like 15€ and i payed 15€ für the whole thing.
then cleaned every keycap and the top part of the case before usind some layers of primer and after ~4 hours i added many mat black spraypaint layers (~700ml of paint) and waited for 20 hours because dont believe those "dry in 6h ****".
i obviously removed all the keycaps and spread them on a plastic plate ^^
the bottom of the case is staying grey because you dont really see it, there are too many moving parts and i would definetly killed those rubberfeet.
after putting everything back together i am amazed by its look and my typing skills... if i look down i can see the letters on the keycaps in my mind :D
i messed up the small plastic badge on top of the lock indicators but i am already working out a nice improvement for it... even without it everythung looks neat.
i should receive my o-rings on monday and i am still searching for blue springs for the next steps...

What happened to the Deck 82 group buy, monked?
-
got a mail from the DECK guy today... i'll post it later on the deskthority thread :)

Hmm, you spraypainted the keys? what kind of spraypaint? Will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

update on the spraypaint... :D most keys are fine but the paint on ASDE shift and ctrl wears off a little due to massive SC2 and BF3 sessions
