Title: Navigation everything without a mouse!
Post by: siouxscout on Wed, 21 September 2011, 10:41:44
Anyone else using software so you can use only the keyboard? Trying Numbad Mouse and its alright nothing gives you the speed or a mouse I guess, but im gonna keep playing with it.

Hate having to take my hands off the keyboard to do work on some things, I miss my loved nix command line apps :(.

Windows is surprisingly usable without a mouse. To assist with mouseless use, I would recommend: Launchy (http://www.launchy.net/), which is a program and file launcher, and WinSplit Revolution (http://winsplit-revolution.com/), which grants very fine-tuned control of window placement using the keyboard. For browsers, it helps to use something like vimperator or vimium (though they can get in the way of mouse usage).

Lol Those of us that were around in the DOS 6.22 days are a little more accustomed to those needs.  I ran windows 3.1 and Windows 95 without a mouse often.   Back then we didn't have a windows key.... ALT+ was your friend.      I don't think ALT+f4 even still works does it ?  I haven't gotten anyone with that trick in games in a while.
