http://bbs.kbc-china.com/thread-6635-1-1.html
CNC aluminum case, 0.7Kg, about 1.54lbs. 5mm thick wall, comes with 3 sets of legs for different height. Available in many different colors. Apparently about to take pre-order.

Looks pretty nice. Don't like feet though
-
oh man...gonna have to get one of these. no question about it. i love my poker too much to not get this for it.
the feet do look pretty bad, but i wouldn't use them anyways. i wonder if blue is gonna be the only color. i have a full set of black cherry doubleshots on my poker though and blue would look sweet.
and this is being sold by KBC? not just some small group buy?
-
I am not sure. I just registered on bbs.kbc-china.com. The welcome mail was signed by imsto. Looks like he is the big cheese there. Maybe he can do a group buy for GH.
-
I think can do group buy via iMav
-
Looks nice.. Would be in for group buy for one
-
I'd be down for one also
-
Would be interested as well.
-
I searched for "KBC aluminum", "Poker aluminum", and "keyboard base" on Taobao (in Chinese) and this didn't come up. Not for sale yet I guess.
-
I am potentially in depending on price, colour options (no way that blue is going to be part of my desk) and other trivia.
If anyone gets more info then please do share
-
Makes me wanna get a poker now just to get this casing
-
I'd rather have the Noppoo choc. It is a better layout for me, if I had to get a keyboard smaller than a regular tenkeyless.
-
It's so pretty..
-
It is pretty!! I want one. What other colors do they have? Somebody should start a group buy.

You're a sucker for anything metal

Hmmm, this is true. That's why Typenow is my #1 keyboard and my RF 87U is #2. But if they have RF 87U in aluminum...
-
Something about it reminds me of the iPod Mini:

Seriously odd looking feet. Also a bit of a disadvantage that they don't appear to be collapsible. At the very least I would want to see some photos taken from other angles before thinking about ordering.
-
There is nothing for you to think about because it isn't available for you to order.
-
I want a custom Filco case. This makes me want a Poker.
-
I would likely buy a poker and a case if this ever went anywhere.

Yes this also what I would do unless we can get a aluminum filco Case going but I dont really wanna pay more then $75 for one either

So I guess you would say the Typenow is worth the money?
-
I'd say not. Aluminum Corsair boards coming in October for $130.

Oh I didnt realize those were aluminum, I guess they would have enough orders to keep the cost Low.
-
But those Corsairs stupidly have rubber domes on a number of keys.

I can't imagine a few rubber domes would be responsible for the nearly $300 price difference.
I can see where Corsair would have a volume advantage and it appears that only the top is aluminum while the bottom is plastic, but still, $300.
I priced a Filco aluminum from Elite awhile back, and it would have cost $300 and it was full-size and had an integrated wrist rest. All that considered, the Typenow is overpriced IMO.
-
Corsair is managing some of that cheapness through the fact that the aluminum 'chassis' is also the plate.
-
my weiner is aluminum. it is also cheap
-
Sounds like it's also detachable.

Hmm well I dont think I would buy the corsair anyways, not enough prestige. I like the fact that the typenow is aluminum, but they keycaps and color are a deal breaker. I would be willing to dish out the cash if it more closely resembled the 356 series keyboards.

I want this NOW
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!

So far, no update on the original thread on kbc-china.com. So, keep waiting. Qtan will probably be able to get this for people who want them. Ping him on his forum.
-
that looks terribly ugly.
i'll take 7

It's actually not sold by KBC. A guy named langtou made it. The price is about $100 I think. Really love this case.
-
im sold if its $100, that's really cheap for custom milling
