Title: Clacky HHKB Pro2 space bar
Post by: Minskleip on Mon, 03 October 2011, 04:31:40
So lately the space bar on my HHKB Pro 2 has this plastic to plastic clacking sound when pressed on the left side. I removed the key cap and there doesn't seem to be anything going on under there. Both pads are present are the left one is just as tall as the right. Any suggestions?

Apply grease quite a bit on both stabilizers.
This mitigated the clack sound on my HHKB pro.

Aha, thanks! Should the grease go on the top tab which goes into the key cap, or should I grease the inside of the barrel?

Inside of stabilizers.

I applied from back side with taking apart completely, though, I think you can apply to the inside from a gap while pulling up the tab.
Don't use grease too much, but it will need no little.

Great, thank you. Now I definitely have to open it up and grease all the stabilisers.
