Title: Cherry MX keys replacement difference

Dear all,

I've just damaged one of my ducky blue mx key so i ordered a replacement from ebay but it seems like there's two kinds of key?

I've ordered this:

which i believed it's this model: http://www.digikey.com/scripts/US/DKSUS.dll?Detail&name=CH197-ND


And from what i see, it seems like ducky is using this model:

I believe the difference is that ducky keys doesn't have the extra two plastic pin, am i able to break it and solder/mount it back onto the pcb?

the plastic pins are for PCB mount keyboards; I have been told but haven't verified that if you need one for a plate mount keyboard you can take the PCB mount one and remove the two pins and it will work fine.  I am hoping that is correct because I've been saving a Cherry PCB for spare parts.

Yes the plastic legs on the side are for a PCB board to give it extra stability. I have not seen them on plate mounted boards yet, but there might be some, because the plate gives it enough stability. If you dont need the legs, you can just pull them off with needle nosed pliers and it will be exactly like a legless kind.
