I'm in the market for a new mouse. The only catch is that I'd like for it to be ambidextrous (ie symmetrical.) Currently using my mouse on the left side of the board. It's much more convenient, but if it prevents me from getting the best hardware I will graciously accept defeat.
Any suggestions?

Razer Krait and Zowie Mico are both solid mice. Slightly smaller than average, especially the Mico which is roughly the same size as a logitech mini optical.
If you prefer bigger mice, the Microsoft wheel mouse optical or intellimouse optical are both extremely good and cost effective (wmo is like 10 euros).
All these mice are top notch.

That Razer Krait looks pretty sweet. Any experience with it? How long before the scroll wheel starts slipping, and stuff like that you can't see in the specs.

V7 Gaming mouse, available from walmart for $25 shipped is the best cost to performance mouse out there imo. It is ambidextrous, has great tracking (2400dpi laser sensor), and a great shape. It beats anything Razer has for any price (I tried them all). Best part is if you don't like it, you can always exchange/return it at a walmart store.

I've had a Krait that I use with my laptop for about a year now, so far nothing has gone wrong with it. Only things I don't like with it is that the scroll wheel surface is a bit too slippery and it's size. The Krait feels a bit too small for me, however Razer has a lot of symmetrical mice; Copperhead, Diamondback(both old and out of production, but very similar to the Krait), Lachesis, Abyssus, Orochi, SC2 mouse and TRON mouse.

The new Logitech G100 could very well be the best ambidextrous mouse, if the manufacturer's claims turn out to be true.

- Razer Deathadder (left hand edition)
- Razer Abyssus
- Steelseries Xai

I mouse left-handed. I went Intellimouse 1.1 -> Copperhead -> Lachesis -> Xai.
The Xai is my favorite mouse hands down, I bought two of them. Can't recommend it enough if you're a lefty mouser.

and also the new Steelseires Sensei, which I should be receiving this week !!!

Yeah, Sensei is going to be a Xai++, probably can't go wrong with it.

Wow, thanks for the input, guys! Looks like I have some homework to do here :D Any of these would certainly beat the Dynex crap I'm currently packing... quite jumpy, and the scroll wheel went haywire after two months.

Ended up going for that v7 gaming mouse for now, seeing as amazon had it on sale for 18 bucks! I'm only a casual gamer so it should fit my needs just fine. Thanks for the info, guys!
