I ordered on Monday, and received Thursday morning. That's pretty impressive from UK to Brussels, Belgium.
This is my first mech keyboard; I'm coming from a MS Comfort Curve 2000. Obviously the two can barely be compared, but I figure it's worth noting a couple comparisons.
* The Filco is noticeably louder even with the brown switches, so that will take some getting used to. While it's a satisfying tactile sound, it might become disruptive in long sessions. We'll see.
* The Filco sits higher on the desk than the MS, so I'll probably need to get a wrist rest.
* I love the labeling on the Filco; Futura is my favorite font. BUT - why did they use italics? That seems like a very strange choice.
* I have not found any "ping"ing keys. Every key feels and sounds more-or-less consistent.
Now I await my replacement caps from WASD :)

Nice, Filco is a good board and keyboardco is a great seller. Browns shouldn't be disruptive, but rather soothing :) Also, looks like you hit the ping-free jackpot.

Congrats, great brand! great switch! and great retailer :). Your going to enjoy typing on them

True, and it is. Actually I think it's my flatmate that I'm concerned about mostly because I tend to work very late at night (aka morning) and he is in the room right next to me.

I got the same keyboard for the same retailer recently. An overall good experience as well!
Sadly my keyboard pings (at least I assume a faint and high pitched ping sound is the dreaded ping). :( But I find that it tends to be relatively random for certain keys and hardly noticeable.

you are so lucky mate. I got the same keyboard from keyboardco. Took me almost a month to receive it.
I was so pissed, and sent them email saying i should get a compensation at least shipping fee refund.
and i did.
But yeh.. filco is a great keyboard but i also wanna try other brands like noppoo.
oh btw, all mech keyboards sound louder than membrane keyboards. can't help it cuz there is a stiffening plate?
under the keycaps(i think filco's stiffening plate is metal maybe)
if u have filco, then you should get red ESC keycap too. mine says FILCO instead of ESC.

I guess it takes a lot longer to ship to AUS -- customs, distance, whatever. But yea a month seems unreasonable. Was it stuck in the mail or at keyboardco though?
I got the red esc but it just says "ESC". Where do you find the "Filco" one? I don't really care; the keyboard already says "Filco" in the upper-right so it seems redundant to have it on the ESC key as well. Anyway I am waiting for a few colored blank keycaps from WASD to make a pretty pattern:

I would only check out other brands if differing layouts or some other, similar feature were the reason. I have tried them all (except for Leopold), and the all feel about the same. Cherry Corp. keyboards would be the exception, but they are too expensive to come by, IMO, and they don't look as nice as other 'boards.
