Do you think scissor switches are good for gaming and if so, what model do you recommend?

I personally prefer the full key travel of non-scissor switch keyboards.

+2.  You'll find many differing opinions on this site, but ultimately it comes down to trying as many switches as you can and finding the type that feels best to you.  I personally don't mind scissor switches if they are well made.
