Title: Finding old keyboards locally?
Post by: AMoody on Wed, 19 October 2011, 07:57:39
I did a search but couldn't find another thread about this. Where do you guys go to find old keyboards? I have tried thrift stores with no luck. (and obviously craigslist, ebay).  Any other ideas?

I think that you need a great deal of luck. I have found some keyboards at thrift stores, dumpsters and flea markets .. but not a whole lot.
You could also check out your local computer recycling place, and ask them to keep an eye out for old keyboards.

Recycling centre, or dump, or whatever equivalent you have.  No-one thinks to sell or give away old keyboards; they're just considered worthless junk like other old electronic stuff.

To name a few: Flea markets, yard sales, estate sales, craigslist, abandoned insane asylums... Never know when you're gonna have a lucky day.  Patience, of course, is the major key.
