Would like to see pics, shouldn't be worn after only 2 months? Price is only $14 less than new at Amazon.
-
it is not worn. just shiny due to hand oil, which is quite normal on filco keycaps. and it is not hard to clean.

So are you saying that you can just 'clean' off the shine ?

shiny is inevitable, man. it will be shiny after a couple of months even you get a new one. bunch of threads are talking about cleaning here. i just wanna make it clear that is not a big trouble to clean, though i may not do that since i am lazy:)
-
open for trade:)

This will sell for $120 its a good price. Wish I could have picked it up, I'm just too picky for my own good sometimes.

Then why don't you clean it before you sell it so that you don't have to put such disclaimers.
It's like advertising a used car with
"Lightly used mercedes
10,000 miles
Covered in mud
Still has a few bags of half eaten McDonald's in the back seat"
But anyways, good luck in sale :)

i do not think my board is so dirty that hands could not be on it. a little shiny key caps like these would never be a trouble for me. even i clean it before ship it, after one month use, it would be shiny as current condition again. i do not think every keyboard sold here is cleaned before shipping. i just wanna clarify the condition clearly and lower the buyer's expect that he would receive a kb as same condition as a new.
if anyone take this , i am happy it has a new home. otherwise, i am not sad it is in my closet:)

and it is quite common you see the word " shiny keycaps " in the sale threads here.

Now I dont have every type of board/cap (yet :) but all my key caps that have shine after real use (i.e more than a few weeks).
The shine comes from the surface of the cap getting worn.
This seems to be the case (IMO) even more with Filco caps, there was the same problem with the Das IIRC.
I got shot of my Das within 10~12 weeks and that had shine/ware on the caps.
If you can show me how to "clean off the shine" than I will put my hands up and say sorry.
But IMO shine on caps means the surface has worn, might not be much, but worn none the less.
If not, I have 5 brand new sets of Cherry 2shots that are used, but just need a clean to make them brand new again.

try this magic eraser (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?20243-It-s-magic) or denture tabs (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?6856-Cleaning-keycaps-with...-denture-cleaning-tabs!).
and there are threads talking about cleaning in wiki. the most important is do not use any chemical abrasive cleaner on Filco's key caps.
if the letters are worn out, then it is real worn. i could not get them back:) but if it is just shining due to hand oil, i think cleaning will work.
