Apple currently takes a bakery to court because of the bakeries logo infringes Apples copyright

bakery logo left, apple logo right

The small coffeehouse Apfelkind (german for applechild), in germanys former capital Bonn, is taken to court by the global corporation Apple. Reason is the danger of confusion with the actual logo of Apple, so the lawyer of Apple.
The owner named the coffeehouse after their specialties. Many sorts of different apple-pies.
The protest against the prosecution is not valid, so Apple. Prosecutions do only take place in the serrvice sector. This is just what she does, the owner responded. So far, Apple made no further explanations to their actions against the german family firm.

They have a very nice logo, very appropriate. I like it. It has a very professional commercial quality to it. I bet that's why Apply has gotten so excited. It appears much more than a small coffeehouse logo.

Imho this does not change a thing. Even if this bakery is going to sell cars tomorrow. With this logo one meter in diameter on it. Apple is not the original owner of the shape of an apple.

This reminds me of Nissan suing a guy named Nissan with a computer store of the same name (he was in business for years, when the cars were still called Datsun). So even though he was first, Nissan still went after him because he was using the domain name nissan.com

We used to have a Lexus Diner near us, until they got sued by Toyota... even though I'm pretty sure the diner was built before Toyota started using that name.

if the US gov't can't obtain whitehouse.org/gov then other companies shouldn't be allowed to fight cyber squatters, heck they're calling them squatters when they actually aren't.

The red apples stem looks like a ****.

I leave for 6 months and THIS is what GH degrades to? I warned you all not to give Ripster too much power, and look, it went straight to his head! And his thighs...
