I just received my WASD keyboard and immediately noticed that I can install the handrest from my Meka G1 onto the new WASD board. Upon further inspection, the outer case seems exactly identical (except the fact that the Meka G1 has a opening for USB and audio ports). This makes me wonder if there are other boards out there that shares the same case...?

It's possible that costar makes them for both companies.
I remember it being mentioned that the WASD has a possability of usb/audio from the case design. You can see the line for a cutout in the WASD.
WASD is a great keyboard, though.

Yes, this is the case (no pun intended). Costar OEMs 'boards for Das, Tt, WASD, Mionix, Filco, Rosewill, Ozone, Cooler Master, and more. Obviously, there is a good chance that some of these 'boards are going to share some design elements, and in your case, to your advantage with the wrist rest.

I personally don't like the case very much at all. But, it's the same case for not only the Meka G1, but also the Mionix Zibal 60. For those of you who like the look of the case you would know what to expect if you buy either one of those other boards.

I like the case a lot more with the integrated wrist rest. The only aesthetic drawback on the case, IMO, is the rounded front edge.
-
Yeah, wrist rest makes it look pretty good. Can't really comment on the Tt logo though...

WASD is definitely Costar. I think I was the one that spotted it first.
I like Costar.
But is CMstorm costar?
It's pretty good to know that other companies' wrist-rests will work.
-
Yes, CMstorm is Costar... however not the WASD/Tt case style, but it is the Filco case style.

Yes, the CM guy, battlesheep has even said so. But I was making a point to ripster, that there's no proof of that otherwise. Apparently, he wants a costar mark on the PCB to convince him.

Just so u know if you want the writs rest for a WASD he should be getting than as a separate part in December.
