I know that there is some confusion about cherry model numbers, but this MY switch board has doubleshots that are compatible with mx switches right?

Just be careful the bottom row sizes and the stepped Capslock.

Actually the biggest non obvious problem with that model is the navcluster, witch is all r4 profile so it will look really funny on a board with the nav cluster in the usual place.

I'm planning on putting them on a g80-1865 with ergo clears. It's basically an identical layout so I don't think I'll have any problems

It is identical, so you would be all set in that case. The body should be interchangeable as well I think so you can have one spare if recoloring goes terribly wrong.
