Title: Arduino - super easy to use open-source electronics platform
Post by: keyboardlover on Thu, 27 October 2011, 16:08:34
Found out about this today through IEEE (I'm a member):

Arduino (http://arduino.cc/en/).

Thought it might excite some geeks here.

Have you not heard of an arduino before /KL? I for sure thought that you would have heard of it.

I've been using Arduinos in projects for a few years now, really handy devices!  My only complaint is the craptacular DAC/PWM output.  I've designed and built dual 10-bit DAC daughterboards for the Mega, if I have to do it again though I'll figure out serial communication to a DAC for waaaaaay simpler build.

edit: Please excuse the work-in-progress wiring in the above pic.
