Post by: SadButTrue on Mon, 31 October 2011, 05:49:22
How hard would it be to move keys around? I swear I saw pictures showing chopped up topre domes a while ago. Anyone have a link?

It will be easier to sell your board

Open up the 'board and break out a pair of scissors.  It's pretty easy, but you need to be really careful about keeping track of the springs.  Ripster has some pics, but once you open the 'board, it should be pretty obvious.  If it's not, then you should sell your current 'board and get another.

Yeah, the link should be somewhere. I am guessing that it isn't too hard. Good luck with that!

The best part of Ripster's mod was when he burned the warranty. The least risky path would be to sell the variable Realforce and buy a uniformly weighted model.

I was planning to pick up a second-hand 86u, hence considering this mod. It would be madness to attempt on a board with warranty:)

Found the link in ripsters sig, cheers. Looks a tad fiddly.
