Title: 2 Modded Rosewills (Blues/Reds)
Post by: TheProfosist on Sun, 20 November 2011, 11:08:07: I am selling 2 Modded Rosewills that I recently bought from newegg then modded, one is Cherry MX Blue and the other Cherry MX Red. As for the price, the minimum I will take is $150 for the blues and $170 for the Reds. If you need more information or anything of the sort let me know.

Mods and Additions Include:
6ft Right Angle USB 2.0 Cable with Tye Wraps (reduces stress on usb port)
Side Printed PBT keycaps (White for the Blues, Black for the Reds)
50A Black Nitrile O-Rings from WASD Keyboards
New Stabilizer Inserts and Springs from WASD Keyboards
Stabilizers Lubed with White Lithium Grease
Switches Lubed with Deoxit (F5 for Blues, F100 for Reds)
Lead weight added to the case (keyboard now weight just over 4lbs)
Egrips added to the feet (no slipping even with rear feet extended)

Yep, works great. Matches the color switch. I also put some one the cables right before the plugs to get the cohesive look.

Nope its still red not that noticeable though even looking strait down if not in direct light. Also my lighting may have something to do with it I have Daylight compact fluorescent light balubs.

Actually thinner and/or weaker wires/springs from what I found and the inserts that were in mine were these cheap short stubby ones that were nearly impossible to pull out.

I dont know about rattle but the stabilized keys feel much better crisper and less wobblie. i dought your going to have any problems with the Filco, though rosewills are good I can tell the cheaped on on a few things besides the springs, inserts, and keys. the QC is horrible especially with the switches. I have had 3 that went you pull the keycap off the stem comes out which I promptly RMAed.

My Steelseries stabilized keys rattle terribly, especially when I lightly tap them at the corners. I think it shouldn't be any play there.

Almost none my wasd and rosewills click directly down when tapped on the edges and corners.

Really? just so you know all that left is a modded Rosewill with Blues the PBT keycaps that were on it were already sold.
