cant wait to press every key on my keyboard at the same time

Pretty cool that it is using reds, good see that in a more mainstream board, big companies (razer) usually use blues because it is the biggest different from rubber and it makes that fancy loud clicking sound.
edit for terrible typing
-
xArmor only has browns/reds (same keyboard) but they are around $100

I was gonna make a thread out of this matter. They claim world's first USB NKRO? REALLY!?
They really are exploiting the category of "gaming" mechanical keyboard to the max eh?
-
Microsoft Sidewinder X4 was the first. Makes sense. You've got all the muscle of Microsoft R&D behind it.
They did say first USB NKRO for gaming mechanical... but that is still some shameless ignorant statement..
-
Sidewinder X4 only had 17KRO.
-
It is sad that these keyboard venders have to rely on such thing as NKRO/1000Hz pulling rate to market their keyboards.
-
Good enough.
Fingers and most toes.
How predictable... and irrelevant. It's still incorrect to call it NKRO.
-
OK. You're right. NKRO>18KRO.
But still it's pedantry. 6KRO is good enough. >18KRO is complete ****ing overkill.
I know, but that's a different discussion!
The reasons I like NKRO (using full speed USB) are simplicity, reliability and compatibility - in general the tricks that get >6KRO using low speed USB are flawed (although I admit the X4 is pretty good).
-
MK-85 and MK-50 are two of the very few ISO boards with mx reds, which makes them kinda cool. The MK-50 is also one of the cheaper mechanicals I've seen, landing on $115 here. Might get one as a christmas present (not to myself, unfortunately).

Just cause someone pointed me here, this board is using the same controller that other boards have been using to achieve that "full NKRO over USB." Though, not to stir the bush, but it's the "only 18KRO over USB" one.
I'm inclined to agree with Ripster on the elementary level, that 18KRO = NKRO for all intents and purposes.
Accurate marketing? Sorta.
They're not lying and they're not being deciteful so I don't think it's a case in which enthusiasts should care too much.

I would argue that 6KRO = NKRO for 99% of us... I wonder where that 1% goes... guess they are those who doesn't even bother using keyboards.

There is no common "only 18KRO over USB" device that multiple keyboards are using - it's a myth!
Do you have any evidence to support the claim that it isn't really NKRO?
I'm inclined to agree with Ripster on the elementary level, that 18KRO = NKRO for all intents and purposes.
I agree with that too, on an elementary level. We do only have 10 fingers. Above 10KRO the only reason to be interested in the details is to see how compatible (with varied OS) the method will be - that's a lot more important than exactly how many KRO it supports. But, the exact KRO gives us a clue to what method is used.
Accurate marketing? Sorta.

They would be lying though. Facts are facts. It's illegal in most places to sell stuff based on false claims - that's why the small print on e.g. NKRO Filcos: "NKRO over PS/2, USB limited to 6KRO" or similar, even though the banner says NKRO. If a keyboard didn't support NKRO over any interface, it would be false advertising to say NKRO anywhere on the advert!

Actually now that The Solutor doesn't post any more...
Nevah say nevah... :)

Where is The Solutor?
Do you mean, people must follow Solutor's suggestions and avoid the USB only keyboards ?
