Hey guys,
I've read the awsome guide by ripster and i still ended up asking this question.. (i'm sure the guide also covers this part something about the asian's swearing stuff, i dunno)
So i ordered this yellow looking dell at101w online and i noticed (after playing a few games of SC2) that certain keys tend not to cooperate with me entirely.. and since i was going to open the whole thing anyways i decided to just go all-out and clean the whole mess inside and out.
I got some of this stuff

i'm thinking about taking all the switches apart dump them in a 70% alcohol substance bath and clean them up, separate the parts of the switch highlighted in red (see pic below)
and then spray that part with silicone spray.. the reason i'm going to spray that part only is because that's the only part that rubs against the plastic housing (me thinks)
(good idea or not?)
This is the frame that i sprayed black.. it was yellow when i got it.

also anyone have an idea where i could get some purple leds to replace these?

I also retr0brited (Tezza's Arrowroot Variant Recipe) my keycaps.. here are some pics, i was feeling creative and didn't feel like spending too much money on something like this.
Unfortunately i forgot to take picture's of the keys before i started it but rest assured they were yellower than piss after a night of heavy drinking.. (will edit this post and include pics of the finished product tho)

SHOULD I SILICONE SPRAY THAT PART OF THE SWITCH OR NOT!?!?!? is the real question here..
