Title: Cherry MX Switches Typing sounds
Post by: noodles256 on Mon, 05 December 2011, 20:23:18
Thought I would take a second to help some of the new mechanical keyboards users out so they can hear the difference between some of the common Cherry MX switches out available. Count this as my one help for you noobies.

Last video is just a close up of the boards (w/o Razer BWU)

Title: Cherry MX Switches Typing sounds

I am not suprised to perceive the Cherry MX red and the Cherry MX brown to sound almost the same. I recently tried my friend's newly acquired RK-9000RE and found the key feel to be almost the same as the Cherry MX brown minus the tactile bump.Since, the tactile bump is very subtle on the Cherry MX brown, the overall feeling is "almost" the same.

Thanks for sharing. The videos allow someone to better judge the sound of each switch since the recording settings are the same for all the keyboards.
