Title: keyboard for HTPC
Post by: Backward_Pawn on Wed, 07 December 2011, 19:10:42
Hi all,

I'm putting together an HTPC and can't decide how high-end my keyboard needs to be and whether it should be wireless.  Its going to be mainly for home theater, but its got a 5850 so it'll be able to play same games, too.  I'm currently using a Filco at my desk and love it, but don't think I can justify a second one.  I was thinking about the Razer mechanical (the cheaper of the two), but don't actually know how much I'll use it for games since I'm getting a new xbox, too (old one broke a couple weeks ago).  So, I've decided I'm not getting a kinect...I could use my hundred dollar savings to pay for a mech keyboard, or I can just pick up a $4 keyboard from Microcenter until I see how much I actually use the keyboard from the couch.

I'll probably do the latter since its always good to have a cheap keyboard around and it'll function until I figure out how much it'll be used.  And I can always grab the Filco for gaming, if need be.

I double for DiNovo Mini, and add DiNovo Edge as a slightly bigger and more capable board.
