New Leopold Tenkeyless Keyboard coming out soon.
The specifications on the keycaps are posted at:
http://www.leopold.co.kr/
1.3mm thickness keycaps (thanks cyclonechuah for linking this).
With that, all FC200Rs are sold at 99000 kr won, from 125000 kr won.

The white boards look really nice. Does anybody know if the white caps are printed or lasered?
-
pretty much the same thing it seems... at least on the outside
-
Why is the Leopold.co.uk site selling Realforce boards and desktop document scanners? It kind of looks like someone is just domain name squatting with a partially relevant webstore.
At any rate, thicker keycaps are probably the one thing the Leopold was missing. I'm completely spoiled by Cherry corp caps.

Based on visual memory, I would say they are lasered, but I dont have one atm so can't say for sure.
-
I really need to try cherry corp. double shots sometime.
So far with my limited experience: POM > ABS > PBT
IMO the thickness alone makes it so much more awesome then most of the keys out there...
now head to the group buy thread and place down your order :P

If anyone buys one from Leopold get a extra Orange Paw key and trade me in my subforum for another key.
Maybe, you could reach out to the koreans.
They have easy access to that paw key, and you might have something they need.

Apart from the stem the new PBT keys look identical to Topre keycaps, and they have a lower height profile than the regular Leopold keys.

Check the bottom of the keys.
I bet the keycaps were even made by the same company. Sadly it would likely mean the spacebar is ABS.

So I wonder what is new about the Leopold TKL other than the key caps?
BTW, that site is selling current Leo TKL's for $87.50 US. God only knows what shipping would be, probably around $30 is my guess.

Probably nothing unless they decide to so something with the stabilizers because of customer reaction (I doubt it).

Between that and brokerage fees, it really wouldn't be worth it.

This would be pretty cool if it were the case that they were made by the same company. One of my favorite features of Topre is the caps.
Unfortunately, they will only be available in an 87-key layout at least initially.

Well if EK gets these Leo's with these caps I think I'll be in for one.

I heard something about not beiing able to order from Korea unless you have a Korean address or not being able to order unless you are a Korean citizen. I don't really remember exactly what it was, maybe someone can clarify.
-
The OP should rename the topic to new mx compatible Topre keycaps from Leopold.

I think the new Leopold gonna cost a lot more.

Leopold only accepts payments from Korean credit cards, thus you need a Korean bank account. Probably it is not the case with other vendors.

If they also use the same mix of material and mold as Topre keycaps, then they will be lovely.
Not sure why I should rename this thread. The website clearly says all new tenkeyless keyboard with PBT keycaps.

Sweet. Looks like a Leopold is in my future.

Is there any kind of release date for these?

^ EK should have a new Leopold sample in Jan (link (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?24752-Los-Angeles-Meetup!&p=467389&viewfull=1#post467389)). I'm just curious to see what are the differences.

It could be quite a while longer before EK has the new Leos for sale...
