Hello Geekhack! I'm a new member here, but thanks to hashbaz/litster I have the opportuniy to try many different types of Cherry switches: http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?23914-Cherry-Switch-Tester-Holiday-Tour-2011!
In that thread, we saw that there are many of us in Los Angeles, so we decided to create a meetup!

Bring any keyboards you may have! I will be bringing litster's numpad which has browns, blues, blacks, reds, clears, ergo clears, tacto clears, a grey, and a green. Park under the Barnes and Noble (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=barnes+and+noble+90024&hl=en&ll=34.040569,-118.427467&spn=0.160738,0.154324&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=75.995169,79.013672&vpsrc=6&hq=barnes+and+noble&hnear=Los+Angeles,+California+90024&t=m&fll=34.040854,-118.434162&fspn=0.160737,0.154324&z=13&iwloc=A&source=gplus-ogsb) (free parking) and go up the escalators, and there is a bridge that goes across Westwood Blvd. There should be tables there that we can use.
Please post if you plan to come and post any keyboards you may be bringing!
People (and keyboards) that are coming:
- falerus: litster's numpad which has browns, blues, blacks, reds, clears, ergo clears, tacto clears, a grey, and a green
- reaper: some of his maaaaany keyboards, hopefully
- Kick: Leopold with clears, Poker X with clears, ergo clears, and reds, and a nice camera
- demik: has keyboards, might bring white leopold with dye sub \kl blue keycap set
- Tennobanzai (maybe): Buckling Springs, Cherry blues and blacks (I think)
- Skoobs (maybe): das ultimate with browns and orings and soft landing pads
No longer happening! Please do post in this thread if you are interested in a meetup some time in the future.

I didn't say if they were Koreans or Chinese or even Asians. But looking at the writings on the window they're probably Koreans (who put my pic on Chinese taobao site :tongue:).

I'll bring my White Leopold Clears and
Poker X modded with Clears and ergo clears and reds that are on the leds.
They feel really different compared to my leopold
only keyboards i hasssssssssss

I might be able to go. I could probably bring most of my boards in my sig expect the JPN layout one. I really want to try out some Topres before I drop that amount of cash
I'm not sure how long this would last without people getting bored and leaving before everyone is together. It would be cool if we could do a LAN or something for a future event

Yes, a LAN would be awesome. I've never been to one :( not sure if that's a good or bad thing haha.

Anyways, it would have to be the 10th for me. I noticed there is some interest for later December/January so I'm not sure if you guys would rather have it later?

Noble try falerus; I'm surprised to see this much interest as it is. I might be able to make an appearance in Jan, should have a sample of the new Leopold Tenkeyless by then..

Well, definitely me, demik & Tenno will have to meet up since our keycaps on some of the group buys are coming in together. The rest can just join in so we could have our little get-together again. Now, where's Brian from EK? I need to give something back to him since he shipped them to me twice (I thought the first one was lost lol).
Also we can keep the thread here unless you think it's better to start a new one.
