Title: Cherry MX Blue/Brown/Red/Clear Springs (and maybe stems)
Post by: theta on Sun, 11 December 2011, 19:28:12
Have a Ducky 87 with black stems, and they're pretty stiff for typing...

Looking for the typical blue/red/brown springs to make ghetto reds (and maybe new stems to just change them up completely). Let me know what you've got, and how much you want.

Thanks!

hey bro i want to buy clear switches, if you want to go in on them with me you can take the springs and ill take the stems. i want to make pandas (clear stem black springs, which i already have)

just hit me up if you want. we can go through a group buy and get them cheaper.

if you need a full set (104) we can go halvzies, if you only need whatever number a poker uses i will foot most of the bill and just shoot you the stems. let me know.

Okay, officially begging now.

I need the light springs from Brown, Blue, Red, etc. - not Clear.

If all else fails, there currently is a groupbuy for complete switches over at Deskthority: http://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1494

isn't that just the euro arm of the phantom groupbuy? wouldn't it be better to order through the phantom group buy here?

Yea you are right, as far as I know it is part of the same Phantom groupbuy. Deskthority has a separate thread/spin off/groupbuy for Cherry MX switches, though. No idea where to order best if you're not from the EU and only want switches. Apparently, you've got till the end of the month to find out ;)

If you want only a couple of switches, you could try mouser, digikey, wasdkeyboards. The price per switch gets lower if you buy more.

I bought some blue switches myself from mouser.

Mouser and Digikey only have blacks, clears, and blues.
And wasdkeyboards have every kind of switches. All of the switches are for plate mounted, but since you only need springs, it wouldn't matter.

You could make Realforce like(having different weights for pinky keys) keyboard with Cherries.
