Title: Cheap mech keyboard-which one?
Post by: policymaker on Mon, 12 December 2011, 18:01:12
Hello everyone,

Sry for creating a new thread about this, I did try to search a bit, but didnt find many answers. The thing is, I was thinking about purchasing a new mechanical keyboard just for the sake of upgrading from the horrible 10$logitech I got right now. However, I really wouldnt like to spend more than 55$(or 45€) including shipping costs. I was about to give up searching but I realised there might be a couple of options. I found this 104 classic (no name) mechanical keyboard which is really cheap, and then read about some ducky keyboards from pchome(or what?). I dont even care about the switch types, because anything should be better than what I have right now. I dont care whether it is tenkeyless or not. I do however require that it is able to work with PS/2, I dont have any usb ports left and hubs arent an option for me. I mainly want to use it for gaming, but I type a lot as well. I think I d like something not too loud, but I cant really be picky can I?

Can any1 point me to the right direction? Im interested in europe delivery, and payment options like paypal would be desirable. Thanx for any suggestions

ty both for ur replies. do u have an opinion on the one I mentioned? Its been reviewed here as well. I can have it for like 45€ and no1 seems to dislike it, ive read only good things about it. Do you know where I can buy other keycaps for it? I see uve tested it ripster. Can it be used with a PS/2 adapter?

And what about the ducky 1087? is that one available and where?

PS: forum wont let me paste the urls.

hello again, I want to buy either a ducky 1087XM or a DK1008XM from pchome. Should I go for black ALPS switches or green? which are better for gaming? Also how do I choose english layout? havent been able to spot that choice on the page. thanx again
