Title: How is it possible to laser-etch white fonts on black plastic

Hi guys,

Considering that the laser is supposed to leave a dark burn I don't have a clue how is it possible to laser-etch white fonts on black keycaps.  Could somebody shed some light on this, please?

Thanks a lot, Ripster!  Fascinating resource!

As for searching it's not that I'm lazy.  I've been searching for "lasered" but couldn't get any results which happened because I wasn't logged in.  Of course vBulletin didn't suggest me to log in which is one of the reasons why I consider it a bad joke.
