So I've finally decided to spring for a mechanical keyboard. I think the Cherry MX Brown keys fit my needs. I want that nice tactile bump but without the obnoxious clicking (I'm sure it'll click a bit if I bottom out the keys but that's fine).
I don't think I want to spend more than $100. I found the Choc Mini which is a tiny bit above my budget at $106. I was wondering if there were any keyboards of similar or better quality, at a lesser price, with Brown keys.
Thanks.

Rosewill from NewEgg on a sale. Or some Cherry off of ebay.

Do you think a brand new Razer Blackwidow, brand new is worth $60 shipped? I realize it's Blue keyed but that seems like an amazing deal to me.. What do you think?

It could be. I've heard plenty of people bemoaning ever going near Razer's KBs tho. Personally I wouldn't get it because of the blue switches and the layout. I prefer equal-sized modifiers. I also don't like the long front lip.

Hmm, the cheapest new Cherry MX Brown keyboard I found is $106 shipped :( I wish I could get one for about the same price as the BW.

There is a version of the BlackWidow that has MX Browns (Stealth Edition, I think it's called), but you probably won't be able to get it for the same price.
It does have a much nicer finish than the shiny BlackWidows, though. I'd be happy to pay the extra just for that...

Yeah the BW Ultimate is twice the price :/

You can get a KBC Poker for around $80, or a PLU for around $75 from qtan (http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/category/mechanical-keyboard/catId=3982936). For 104 key the Rosewill is a good choice, or if you can go a little higher Leopold is $109.
Have you gone through the classifieds here?

To add to the previous posts, a WASD semi-custom is $120; I'm not aware of any less expensive options that haven't already been mentioned. If you just want any board with browns, I have a "rawko" board that I'd be happy to sell, or get on ebay and see if he has any more posted.

So I think I'm going to spring for a Rosewill RK-9000. Good choice?

Yes, pretty solid keyboard.

Have you typed on either? If possible check out the blues and see if you like them. They are loud but after owning my browns which I do love I think I maybe just maybe wanna try out blues now.

if you are a student you can get a das keyboard for about 105 and i like it. And mx browns dont feel like what you would think they would feel like they feel more linear (red) than clicky (blue), i personally love browns because of how light they are and still being easy to type on for a long time, all in all you made the right choice.
