you can buy a full set of black blank keys from Unicomp for $20. What would be the benefit of yours over those?

well, they're free first, 2nd they're made from das keycaps, so they feel different and have a different profile.
To be honest, I don't really like the way black keys look on a model m, so I wanted to get another opinion before abandoning the project.

They looks pretty good on a unicomp, so the project should not be abandoned.
Also note that the Model M keys are all the same profile (the curve is in the mounting) so if you put profiled DAS keys on it, you'll end up with a different profile.

I would have to agree with bini and say better off with getting them from unicomp and save yourself the time and hassle of converting the dad keycaps...
Also not a fan of the black blank keycaps on a white model m unless it's got an industrial top or just the original industrial m...
