So after studying for a while and asking a few questions, I have come down to my final candidates, Here are my final choices with comments.
Keys: blues
If RK-9000 were available at the mid December price ($80) it would be a no brainer, unless there was something really really good likea Das or Filco for $70. At $100 it;s still my favorite.
I mourn the poor build quality of Adesso. I fI heard they were reasonably well builf I would chose oine, just on price and availability.
'The unlit BlackWidow is sort of the oddman. I prefer the normalness of the RK but I can get the BW at $70. Thinking of the other stuff I can get with the exra cash, I'm strongly wondering if I can live the weirdness ( missplaced function keys, weird keycap font ).
Finaklky the Leopold. The Leopold has one advantage over the others. With the Otaku version ( and I do not need the lettering ), I don't have to worry about how the keycaps are printed, or what fonts were used.
Any final comments?

I don't think you can go wrong with either the Leopold or the Rosewill. I have only had the Filcos and the Leopold Tenkeyless.

To TS:
I want to advice you that if your main reason for going mechanical keyboard is for the superior and solid built quality + durability and consistency for keycaps, then I suggest you better keep away from Razer.
It is not worth the risk to get Razer BW for saving few bucks.
Of course if you are not the type as I stated above, go ahead and try it. The bling bling of Razer is so powderful that it can blind the desire of [strike]fanboi[/strike] people for quality.

I ended up deciding on getting a Rosewill RK-9000 for my first mechanical keyboard (just ordered it today). Join me!

Well since the RK-9000 is now at $100 with $20 promo card and FS it hits the price point I mentioned, guess so.
