Title: Retro: Royal SE5005 Keyboard Key Caps
Post by: dr_disciple on Sun, 25 December 2011, 09:34:17
Just to share what I found in my in-laws place. Gonna do some small modding to fit current Cherry MX Switches KB :)

Typewriter? those are THICK doubleshots, though I imagine widening them for cherry use will be difficult. Good luck, if it works out for you, it'll be awesome!

Looks like a 0L mount, which is not Cherry MX - compatible. The slits are too narrow, the stem is too wide and there are struts in-between stem and key wall that would get in the way.

They might fit some really old keys from Cherry or ALPS, but none that I have tried have been particularly nice to type on compared to Cherry MX.

Get a dremel.

It's true that it does not fit the current Cherry MX switch keyboards. But hopefully can do some modding with my dremel :). Thanks for all the advises!
