I'm very put off by the fact that it's only half mechanical, and I'm just not a fan of the appearance of this. Saw it on OCN and figured someone here may be interested though.

It's far more than "half" mechanical if you actually read the description.

Which keys on that board are rubber domes?

I'm exaggerating. I didn't mean literally half of the keys. It isn't completely mechanical is the point. I want to feel a mechanical switch when I'm mashing F5 to refresh a page waiting for an online sale or something :)

From the OCN thread:

The parts circled in Red have MX Reds. The rest are rubber dome. Basically, as dante said, the function keys.

WASD showed me this board. It's ok I guess. A little different with the faux brushed steel look. I liked the media scroll wheel and media buttons.
The rubber domes...meh. What's the point? I don't see the 'gain' with that board.
Of course, don't consider what I say...I'm not a credible source on flatboards.

Thanks. Pretty good compromise if the savings are $20 or more over the cheapest fully-mechanical alternatives.

Fully mechanical, only $11 or so more, but with MX Blacks instead of Reds. Although I'm not a fan of that board either, as it has one of those enormous enter keys. I'm very picky about my keyboards, as I'm sure you guys have noticed. :)

I just want those rubber top keycaps

Considering the fashion here, they should have made the escape key cherry red too.
It's not a bad idea for cost cutting, but then they could have dropped the numpad instead.
My guess is that a future version will have rubber domes for the numpad.
